Hattie is a sweet but somewhat shy 9.5 year old girl. She loves to go on “adventures” (car rides), and thrives on dog companionship. The ladies at the groomer all love Hattie because she is so sweet and always wants them to stop and give her belly rubs!

While Hattie was clearly socialized with dogs and accepts handling, she is slow to warm up to people - but once she does, she demands attention and all the pets! Hattie enjoys playing with her sheltie foster siblings almost as much as she loves crawling in bed to take a nap.

Hattie needs a confident dog sibling for both companionship, and to continue to teach her how to be a dog and enjoy life.  She also needs a home where she will be gently challenged to try new things and gain more confidence. She really loves going on walks, to see new things and smell new smells.

Hattie would do better in a home with older (teenage or above) children or adults only, as she is not comfortable around young children or loud voices.
